With Star Jones Reynold's abrupt departure last year after ABC did not renew her contract and O'Donnel's departure, Barbara Walters has rarely missed a day. Barbara Walters did not do the show daily when the panel had five women. Now The View has typically had five people on the panel. Rosie helped panelist Joy Behar step up her game as well and Behar's passion has really shone through since Rosie joined (and now exited) the panel. While I have always been a fan of the show, Rosie O'Donnell made the show relevant and newsworthy. Walters more agita, I hope Whoopi does push the limits and speak her mind very loudly. On choosing Goldberg, Barbara Walters probably did not want a repeat of last year, which most definitely must have caused the legendary broadcast journalist some serious stress, so Whoopi is a perfect choice as a big name who won't stir the pot as vigorously as Rosie did. However, unless she really steps it up, The View shouldn't expect to see ratings as high as they were when Rosie was famously feuding with everyone from Donald Trump, Kelly Ripa, and, of course, panelist Elizabeth Hasselbeck. Goldberg is outspoken and she'll fit in well. Weight Watchers fired her as a spokesperson in 2004 after Whoopi criticized President Bush. Whoopi Goldberg is a big name star and while she is not known for being as controversial as the former Queen of Nice Rosie O'Donnell.she doesn't come completely without baggage. The comedienne's inclusion as moderator will serve the show quite well. Whoopi is a great addition to the panel and I'm saddened I will not be in the US when the Oscar/Tony/Emmy/Grammy award winner takes the seat once held by Meredith Vierra and Rosie O'Donnell. I should find 32,181 files in EF preview pane (34,502 minus 2,321) and all 2,197 folders. As announced earlier today, Whoopi Goldberg was named the new moderator at The View. DS_Store files + 2,153 EagleFiler ist files + others) Let’s consider one of my Libraries (my personal data one):ĮF says 34,268 records (in preview pane: 2,152 folders + 32,116 files)įileXaminer: 36,699 items - 34,502 files - 2,197 folders - 2,321 hidden filesģ4,502 total files (they’re all standard files)Ģ,321 total hidden files (11. The most simple check, to me, is to see if the total number of items is consistent and here I am a little bit confused. This way I can continue exchange files with people not using EF (most of the times using Windows).Īs for point 2 (separate counting for files and forlders) I discovered that if you make a multiple selection you have a useful summary displayed in the preview pane.Īnyway, I was asking that because after importing a huge amount of files the first thing I do is to check if import operation was performed correctly checking from within EF and directly inside “Files” folder in the library structure. an “Export rebuilding folder structure” is made available EF includes a special property for each file storing the original path of the recordī. I might as well get rid of 90% of my folders provided that:Ī. Point 1 is the more critical for points 2 and 3 I’m using a workaround setting smart-folders but having built-in functionalities would be quicker. When selecting a folder, you should have the possibility to have EF display (and count, see point 2) only the records inside that folder or all the records including sub-folders. I would be useful to have a separate counts for files and folder. Now the title bar shows the total number of records in the library (or in a folder if you select it). It would be of great help to have it in collapsed view with small triangles to expand folders only where needed. When moving a file, importing to a folder or select a folder to search (creating a smart folder), EF pops up a pane with the library folder structure completely expanded. I understand that EF is not optimized to work with “heavy” folder and sub-folder structure nevertheless I think that, with a few modifications, life will become much easier for people still using folders. For a number of reasons I have all my files stored in a hierarchical folder structure and things are not going to change at least for my work-related library.
